About Jaclyn...

  Jaclyn James has been painting and drawing since she was a young girl and was greatley influenced by her grandmother, Kathryn (Kay) Pedersen.  Kay was a self taught artist with a talent for painting elaborate nature scenes and landscapes.  Art was an important part of Jaclyn's life growing up...not to mention in her blood. 

 She excelled in her art classes in middle and high school and went on to formally study at Columbia College in Chicago with a major in Fine Arts.  Shifting her artistic focus toward songwriting, however, she left Columbia to pursue a recording career. 

Throughout Jaclyn's artistic journey, she resided in downtown Chicago, Nashville, TN, Newport Beach, CA and Huntington Beach, CA.  She attented the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles where she graduated with a degree in Apparel Manufacturing Management/Fashion and Design.

Jaclyn decided to come back to her midwest roots in 2010 and now lives in the suburbs of Chicago where she was born and raised.  "I've been so blessed to be able to live in such amazing places, meet wonderful people and study all types of art during my journeys but, I chose to come back to my roots.  Not only the roots of home but the roots of art that started my entire artistic adventure, the art that I am most passionate about...painting."
